Yara Puente

Originally from Mexico and brought to the United States as a child, Yara has experienced the obstacles and opportunities in growing up in a multicultural setting here in Kansas City, MO. As a DACA recipient, Yara has had the opportunity to further her education and explore different fields of interest. Since a young age, being bilingual has always been a beneficial factor in whatever challenges she faces whether school, work related or in her day-to-day life with over 10 year of interpreting and translating experience with organizations such as Guadalupe Centers, The Mexican Consulate, KS/MO Dream alliance, SEGURA Marketing & Media Solutions and other corporate settings. 

Yara enjoys time with her 5 dogs (a Saint Bernard, an American Eskimo, a Labrador, and two Dobermans) and visits BarkKC on the weekends. She has an entrepreneurial spirit and is the founder of Crafty Claw Creations started in Dec. 2020, providing quality and creative products.
